It is amazing how the world of television and movies has shaped our lives today. Information and wisdoms of the ages use to be reserved for only those that were scholarly or that could afford to buy books. Then when the advent of the television came around we were able to learn many things about history by watching movies and documentaries. And even with the coming of the internet age, there are still millions of people that learn from the television. In fact, one of the greatest kept ancient secrets has come out not only in book and online, but first as a documentary movie. This great discovery is called “The Secret”.
What the movie, and subsequently the books are about is the Law Of Attraction. What this law states is that for every negative or positive thought and belief, your life will reflect those thoughts. So in other words, if you think positively about an outcome in your life, then that outcome will be positive. However, the same works for negative thoughts and beliefs.
What started as a whole new way of life for the author of the book has spread into something that the whole world can now benefit from. But this “new” belief of Abundance in good things happening is not new. This secret has been around for centuries and applied by some of the greatest minds of all time. These people have spent years devoted to the philosophies of this law and only now are they beginning to resurface. But how can this work for you?
As mentioned above, the Law Of Attraction tells us that we can control what happens to us by how we think. Perhaps you are looking to start a new career or business. Or, maybe you have had a long hard year and want to turn you “luck” around. What the movie and book has shown us is that through visualization and affirmation exercises, we can have all of this and more. For instance, if you spent a little time each with a bit of Creative Visualization, you will soon find yourself having a better attitude towards life and your hopes and dreams attained.
So whether you are into meditation or just take a few moments before or after you sleep, just remember to keep it up. Just remember, don’t let the hard times of your day cloud your main purpose. If you need to take a bit of time to work out those troubled thoughts then do so, but then move on to more Positive Thinking. This amazing secret does not tell us that every part of our lives will be perfect from here on out as there is no way to control everyone and everything around you, but it does show us how we can control our own thoughts and feelings and outcomes.
